Principal's Message

A message from Ms. Plummer, the DPM principal

Dear Del Paso Manor Community,

My name is Misha Plummer and I am so excited to introduce myself as the Principal at Del Paso Manor.  I am truly honored to become part of this community, which has already given me such a warm welcome!  In just the few interactions I’ve had with staff, students and families so far, it’s become abundantly clear that this school is a unique and special place. I am grateful to have been chosen to lead the great work that has been started alongside the talented team of educators at Del Paso Manor.

This school year will be my 26th year in education. I have been a dedicated educator always in pursuit of learning more and honing my craft. The past six years, I have served as a vice principal at an elementary and jr. high. Before this, I was an academic coach and data coordinator. I view education as a life-long process and continue to learn as much as I can to be the best support for all of our staff, students and families.

I hope that you are just as excited for this coming school year as I am. Although the summer was short and sweet, I hope that you made great memories with your family and friends.   I was able to spend some quality time with my daughter who was on summer break from college and close family and friends in Southern California.  I believe that family comes first and I am always so grateful for the time I get to spend with them.

In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I welcome your conversation and input throughout this year. Together we will continue to provide experiences that are rigorous, relevant and equity centered.  Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work.  Enjoy the remaining days of summer!

Warmly,

Misha Plummer
